JOEL' STORY
I’ve been a car nut since I was a toddler. My dad’s love of cars and what makes them go has been instilled in my mind and body since those early days. I can remember the first time dad put a wrench in my hand and had me tighten some head bolts down on my first go-kart engine rebuild with him at the age of 8. I enjoy trouble shooting a mechanical problem and learning to think “outside the box” for a solution.

I soon found that an even more rewarding experience was driving my go karts once we got them back together and tuned up. I was hooked on racing. As a young man I did some kart racing. I also worked beside my dad with some stock car racing also. Dad and I always had a race car of sorts we were building and modifying at the Garage (Dan’s Automotive in Rumford, ME). In recent years I’ve turned my motorsport passion to Drifting. I started drifting at local New England grassroots events. My race car currently is one I have built from a stock Nissan 240sx specifically for the sport of drifting.

When I’m not working, my English Bulldog Squishy and I would often spend a few hours of down time with friends. Sadly, my four legged companion, Squishy, became ill this spring and we had to part our ways. She now spends her days on Rainbow Ridge where all awesome dogs go. She's still in our hearts, minds and is still our Mascot!

I am pleased to say that I have new best buddy named Yoda. He's an English Bulldog, just like good ole Squishy was. He's a great dog and loves to hang at the garage working on the race car.
