WHAT IS DRIFTING?
The motorsport known as "Drift Racing" is based on a driving technique where the driver purposely over steers, causing a break in traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining vehicle control and a high exit speed.
Drifting competition got its beginning back in the 1970s in Japan. Today drifting completions are being held worldwide. Competitions are judged by speed, angle, showmanship and line taken through a corner or set of corners.
